I'm the worst procrastinator ever, any help? Topic: Homework pages math

Question: its really late and I still have to study for a test and a quiz and do 2 pages of math homework :/ any tips that you can give me that you use or know? or how to break the habit because it is effecting my sleep now and my grades... majorly! Thanks

i wish i could help but im not sure if taking advice from a fellow procrastinator is a good thing or not! lol but for right now do the math hw, then some studying for th test. then tomorrow on your way to school & before school starts finish studying for the test. when you have the quiz just review quickly before it starts. its better to get sleep then try to get it all done now, i learned in my physiology class lack of sleep = not as good of memory. & you wont be able to concentrate anyway when youre tired. good luck.

That's a really hard habit to break, but in the end, you just have to jump in and start. I've found it helps now that I have a list of what I have to do, as well as all the stuff I want to do. I have to get to the have to's before I can even start the want to's. For homework, I really recommend putting on some light background music. It may not be your usual thing, but I'd suggest something like classical - it'll occupy the part of your brain that's clamoring to be doing ANYTHING else, which frees up the rest of your brain from wrestling with it, so it can pay attention to the work at hand. As with anything else, it's a habit you build. It can also help to work in bursts. Say, Okay - I'm going to study for 15 minutes straight (use a timer!) and then I can play two levels of Angry Birds. Then I'm going to study for 15 minutes, and then I'm going to get up and get a snack. Break it up into chunks you CAN manage, and you'll open the way to doing longer bursts of focused study. Another sugggestion I've found helps me is a game/to-do list called Epic Win. It turns my task list into an Ipod game, so that I get points and develop a character for every task I check off. It's silly and stupid, but darn if it doesn't work.

Do it during lunch, if you have any of those subjects after. If not, do it during class. Just make sure they don't see, or else they'll probably yell at you and take it away... Tips for actually doing it, break the habit by always setting up a time to do your homework. Like at exactly 6 or 7 pm, do all your homework (with breaks in between). That way, it's finished so you can relax for the rest of the night.

Procrastinators of the world, UNITE!!!!!.........tomorrow. I'm a huge procrastinator, and what I do is look at what's at stake. You need to pass the test to get a good mark, and if you want that, you'll want to study. Same with homework, projects, etc.

i'm a major procrastinator myself... tips: stop doing things the night before. study a bit each day. bring everything from school home. review all your past test and quizzes. take good notes (write down everything your teacher repeats) hope this helps:)

Get things you HATE done first! Make a list of least to most favorite tasks and do your least favorite first.

I have to admit, that first assignment is pretty stupid, especially for a freshman. I hardy even know how you could write an essay on that. And for your myth, does it have to be an actually myth or is this just a creative essay? Because I could help you on that one. And It won't have anything to do with me or Zeus, I promise. EDIT: I had to write a Greek myth too when I was a freshman. Just make sure it includes gods and an explanation to a natural phenomenon that would not have been explainable back in the ancient era. Make a myth about how people get sick, how volcanoes erupt, or how an ocean or land got it's name.
