Question: I need to write a persuasive essay on The Double Helix by James D. Watson. I have to pick a topic from the book, and write about my opinion. I have not finished reading the book; however, so far I have not found anything that is a potential topic. If you don't understand what I am asking for, here's an example: another book I could have chosen for my class is The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin. If I wrote my essay on that book, the obvious topic would be to argue for or against evolution. So I need a topic that I can argue, that pertains to The Double Helix. Any ideas are welcomed. Thank you! I had thought about arguing that Rosalind Franklin didn't get enough credit. However, I wasn't sure if I would find enough to support my arguement. I'll look more into it.

Have you gotten to the part about Rosalind Franklin yet? Did you know that Watson and Crick would not have made their discovery without her. Even they admit this. However, when the Nobel Prize was awarded it went to Watson, Crick, and a man named Maurice Wilkens who did nothing toward the discovery. Rosalind Franklin was left out. They had their reasons, but then they should, in my opinion, left out Wilkens.

Watson is a world recognised Scientist. Perhaps you can go for the effects which Watson's discovery made lead to. All those scientific discoveries which followed from the double helix. TW K

God definitely!!!! I use King James as one of the many references to give me a visual guidance. Doctor's use there Physicians reference, Lawyers have their law books, the constitution, and man made law. Mother's, father's and grandparent's use how to books. God is the ruler, and he knew as humans we would need some references. Smile! Good Luck!!! Great Question!!!
