Question: hi yall, i am currently learning about types of diseases. i picked out Asthma as the topic for my paper. i have few questions about asthma, i hope you can answer me. thanks and really appreciate your time as well as your answer. 1. what type of disease is asthma? is it sexlinked or recessive or dominant? i googled but couldn't find the answer. 2. do certain peopl have it? like males, females, ethnic groups, parts of the world? 3. do the symtoms of asthma appear at a certain age? thanks a lot and really appreciate your asnwers.

All you have to do is google "asthma" and it comes up with a lot of sources, which you can then narrow down into "symptoms", "causes" and so forth. Here's one site I found by doing that: http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/dci/Diseases/Asthma/Asthma_WhatIs.html Usually asthma is diagnosed in children, but can also be diagnosed later in life. I was diagnosed with asthma about a year ago, which for me can be chronic asthmatic bronchitis if I'm exposed to allergens or get sick. I have an air purifier in my dorm room which I keep running as much as possible and I also have an albuterol inhaler. I don't think there is a known cause for asthma (such as genetics, and so forth) but do some research and see what you find. Good luck!

You could take him/her to another vet to have him/her checked. I would. Do research on it first though and see what you should do, then.

Look up "reverse sneezing" and read through a description of it, or even check out some of the many videos on YouTube. It sounds a bit like that's what's going on with your dog. It's common and harmless though, so your vet would likely already know about it.
