What are most true anime fans thoughts about that Anime documentary "Drawing a Revolution"? Topic: American revolution showcase series

Question: Forgot what it's called but I saw it a couple years back, it was Starz on demand. Discuss <3 I'm just saying a true fan as in someone who watches more then whats shown on american television. I'm just wondering if its really true whatever happened on that documentary.

I thought they focused too much on hentai to be honest, at least too much for something rated TV-14 Other than that, I think the views were a little too apathetic. It was more like they were talking about the history and genres rather than actual anime series and things of the like. They did, however, do a good job showcasing the different types of anime and the broad spectrum that comes with the art form, but they focused on anime for men more than younger individuals and women. Bottom line, I suppose it served it's purpose but did nothing to go above and beyond my expectations.

I think I did see that back a long time ago. An my opinion of it is it's just hollywood trying to connect themselves to the anime/manga bandwagon to promote their own stuff.

never saw it but i don't think watching it makes you a true anime fan i think seeking out new or not well known anime makes you a true fan.
