Question: I just seen the movie. I was so excited b/c Jodi Picoult is my fave author and this is my fave book by her. So i was really lookin forward to it. However, I didnt expect them to change so much. Kickin out Campbell's whole story and everything,Fine. Makin Jesse dislexic instead of a troublemaker, Fine. <<----Those changes i can understand it saved time. Im not fond of it but ok. I dont however get the point of changing the aunts name from Suzanne to kelly. And killin Kate when Anna dies in the book. It makes no sense to me at all. I want to know what you think! Why do you think they changed the story so much? How did you like the movie? Did you even read the book? (If not you should read the book it's really good.) Lol. Yeah in the book Anna wins the case and her and Campbell are driving back to the hospital and they get in a car wreck. Anna dies so campbell makes them give Kate her kidney and kate lives. The book is a lot better. I enjoyed the movie. I also cried. But, the book is just better. I know it always happens like that, but they changed a lot...!!!!!

I really liked the movie! But I loved the book! In my mind, after seeing the film its like its two different stories?! I really like each of them but as different things as the changes made in the movie completely changed the whole story for me. Its like A Walk to Remember. I love the book and liked the movie but dont even think of them as the same storY!

I really liked the movie! But I loved the book! In my mind, after seeing the film its like its two different stories?! I've read the book, but I haven't seen the movie. It isn't out where I live, yet, it comes out very soon though, I think. That's really annoying that they change a lot - I'll have to wait and see what I think, I guess. But Jesse being a trouble maker, and Campbell's story make up the book! That's what makes Jodi Picoult...Jodi Picoult. And they killed Kate? That just doesn't sound right. Jodi changes her endings for a reason. I'm not sure I want to watch the movie so much, but I suppose I will.. And maybe they changed it because...well, that's how movie producers are. They change good stuff into...not so good stuff.

I've never read the book, so that's probably why I'm in love with the movie lol! It's the sweetest movie I've ever seen! I cried so much, it wasn't even funny (but then again, everyone in the theater was crying). I thought that they did a great job on the movie, even though there were so many changes. I loved the ending...it just made sense to end that way. :)

I think the book is much better than the movie, i hate how they changed the ending, how they left out the character of Julia, and all the other dumb changes. Books are always better than the movies

The director and those people always want to make it their own. And i loved the movie, the whole theatre was crying. There was a man next to me, he looked about 45. He looked like he was in a biker gang. He had tattoos and stuff, and he was crying more than me!!! LOL and for the book i really want to read it. Anna dies in the book? That is a crazy twist, now I'm more interested :)

As soon as the movie started i right off hated Jesse he was to close he was supposed to be distant and I kept waiting for julia. Also they should have added more dog jokes since that was the light humorous part of the book you know somewhere in the movie to make you smile "I'm a recovering alcholic and the dog keep me away from booze" sorry if its misquoted. Also the sister kelly (ugh) mainly tried to help with money not deeds. Overall the movie would have been great with a different title.. The movie seemed to revolve around the sick child its seemed to me like the movie was pleading for an oscar by using kate.
