Does anyone have any ideas about this? Topic: How to write an issue paper

Question: I have to write an "opinion paper" for English class. I slacked off a bit, and I have to have a rough draft by tomorrow. -__- I guess that's mostly my fault though. Basically we have to come up with a topic that requires an opinion of some kind. It can be anything we want. One of the girls in my class is doing a paper on whether or not the man in a relationship should always pay for food. Another guy is writing about why he thinks video games have gotten "increasingly worse" since the early 2000's. Something along those lines. I'm not sure why she's having us do this. Probably to see how well we write when we argue about something we strongly believe in. IDK. As far as knowledge and interests: I'm big on video games, the internet, arts & crafts, personal relationships/issues, makeup & costume makeup, music, and movies.

I was in college and had to do one of these papers. It had to be very detailed and at least 10 pages. But there are many things to write about. I'm sure you have many opinions. Do you have to argue your point and also counter argue? which is to make a point of why someone else is opinionated differently then you. And then explain why you believe your opinion overrides theirs. MOVIES- the ratings. They are cutting back big time on the ratings. They are showing more skin in pg- 13 movies then they used too. You can have an opinion based on that. Whether allowing more skin, action, blood and gore, in rated pg-13 movies or not. ABORTION- that is a huge thing to write about and very very opinionated. PREGNANCY- opinion on whether 13 is too young to get preggers. MAKE-UP- idk maybe write about how people over use it or maybe even that people get make-up permanatly on their skin. this can also tie into plastic surgery? ' if you need more ideas let me know.
