My macbook pro won't start up. Help please?

My macbook pro won't start up. Help please? Topic: Macbook case screws

Question: I just recently got macbook pro laptop. It's not a brand new model, but the system is new. Everything else is in working order so I have no complaints there. But here's the thing. Everytime I close my computer, or leave it sitting for a while, it shuts off. Then when I go and try to turn it back on it doesn't come on straight away. I push the button, I hear the computer waking up, and then it shuts off again. It does this for long time. Sometimes the light comes on, sometimes it doesn't. It's as if im trying to start my car, and the engine just won't stay on. I know it has juice, but the starter is messed up. The charger light is green so I know the computer charger is working. Sometimes, the screen pops up and it looks like it's gonna turn on, then it shuts off again. I just want to know if it's something with the battery or if I just got screwed over and it's not worth fixing it. ps: once the computer is on, it works perfectly. it just takes a few tries, sometimes several times to get the computer back on

I really doubt the hard drive is bad. If that were true, the system wouild have a lot more issues than just this one. The key word here is S-L-E-E-P. When you either wait the length of time that is set for the sleep preferences, or close the lid, the system goes to sleep. Unless you forgot to mention a few other serious problems, it seems there is only one issue: fails to wake from sleep normally. Here are the steps to determine what is disrupting the "wake from sleep"..... -- Restart and hold the shift key for 45 seconds to get a log in screen. -- Log in. -- Wait two minutes. -- Close the lid. -- Wait one minute. -- Lift the lid. It should light up normally in less than five seconds. If that solves the issue, check "Login Items" or consider what non-Apple software you always use when this problem happens. If that doesn't help.... -- Disconnect everything except the power adapter. NOTE: "Everything" doesn't mean "just things I don't need". It means EVERYTHING... except the power adapter. -- Remove any added RAM (Since you bought it second-hand, it may be hard to know if any of the RAM is added by the original buyer. In that case, try each RAM stick separately, switch them, and try again). I am fairly sure you will find that either an external device or added RAM is causing the wake-from-sleep craziness.

Sounds like you might have a failing hard drive, unless there are beeps when it won't start up. In any case, back up your vital data (even if your computer isn't breaking hehe) If you are still under warranty, go to the apple store, if you are not, try find a repair shop that works on macs - they will usually not hit you hard for labor like mac does once you are out of warranty If you are getting beeps, it could be a memory issue depending on the number of beeps. When you say "the system is new" do you mean the OS... LIke Mountain Lion? Sorry I can be more specific because I don't know all the circumstances.

I'm now not amazing acquainted with mac merchandise. Is this one of the vital laptops with out a fan? If it does have a fan and it will get sizzling extra rapidly than it used to, you will have to blank the filth out of the warmness sink. If it does not have a fan then I would not fear approximately it. If it is in your lap and it is uncomfortable then do exactly what I do and placed a pocket book or pillow among my lap and laptop. I would not fear approximately the epidermis syndrome considering that that simplest rather occurs to folks who do not become aware of they are getting burned haha

Here's why you should get a Mac:: There are NO CONS. The MacBook does both WinBloze and OSX, no other computer can make that statement. You have the best of the best. Apple Stores are popping up all over and you can make an appointment for a time and date, bring your computer there. They will troubleshoot it and fix it if it's a software problem it's FREE. What other computer company has stores and can make that statement? Get the 2.4 GHz with 4Gigs Ram and you got a speed machine like mine. The WinBloze people may not like a Mac computer but I'll bet they all have iPods. Go Mac and Never Go Back. Mac, the User Friendly Computer. If you read the questions here you will notice that most problems are about every computer except a Mac.
