Question: My report is on Superstitions and I need ideas for main points to discuss. Any ideas? Like MAIN POINTS I can discuss not like "talk about black cats" "breaking a mirror is bad luck"- NOT THAT....THESIS topics! You are not giving me research, or writing it for me just some main points to consider! Thanks!

Doggy, Superstitions guide the daily behavior of millions of people! Are superstitions unwarranted fears and phobias? Are superstitious people mentally ill by today's definition? I think these are good potential thesis topics....If a person has an unwarranted fear of strangers, we say she has xenophobia. This is a phobia, a fear, a condition that may require counseling to get to the bottom of. Yet, back in the 1800's, we might think someone "odd" or "strange" or "touched" who acted with avoidance toward certain unknown individuals. So much depends upon the societal context of who, when, and where it happens. These days, doctors are SO quick to get people medicated if they hear voices, cross themselves when they go out of the house, fear cats, or others....So, think about these ideas a bit and maybe one will seem like something you can defend in a thesis statement! Good luck!
